Workington Town Ladies are aiming to go one better and win their league in 2026 after finishing third in their first season in Women's Rugby League One.

Haydock Finance is celebrating a year of outstanding achievement for professional 4 Cross (4X) mountain bike racer Ian Forsyth from Great Harwood, following a season that saw him crowned British 4X Champion and finish 4th overall in the 4X Pro Tour, the pinnacle of the sport.

Henry Simpson-Lucas and Matthew Short were two of the 14 volunteers who were selected to represent the 1,500 volunteers who played an invaluable role in the success of the Women’s Rugby World Cup.
