Roann Secures New Contract With Taylor Wimpey In Yorkshire

Wakefield-based worktop specialist Roann has secured a new six-figure contract with national housebuilder Taylor Wimpey, extending a partnership that began in 2019.

The new project will see Roann supply and install Silestone kitchen worktops for buyers at Taylor Wimpey’s Marske Sands development in Marske-by-the-Sea, North Yorkshire. The 342-home scheme is due for completion by 2027.

Roann, which specialises in high-volume, low-silica surfaces, has seen rapid growth in its work with Taylor Wimpey this year. The company has already completed £750,000 worth of installations across 17 Taylor Wimpey regions, a 62% increase on the same period in 2024.

“Our six-year partnership with Taylor Wimpey continues to go from strength to strength,” said Scott Wharton, Operations and Technical Director at Roann.

“We’re pleased to extend our remit to North Yorkshire, bringing the total number of regions we support across the UK to 18.”

Wharton attributed the continued success to a collaborative approach and targeted training delivered to Taylor Wimpey’s regional teams, equipping them with product knowledge to assist buyers in personalising their kitchens.

Earlier this year, Roann announced a £300,000 investment in its Wakefield manufacturing facility, aimed at boosting capacity and supporting its sustainability goals. The upgrade will increase production from 15,000 to 25,000 worktops annually.

Roann, established over 30 years ago, has become a key supplier for UK housebuilders, offering made-to-order worktop solutions for volume residential developments.
