Work is underway to build a luxurious £13m housing development in County Durham – creating 30 jobs in the process.

Saxon Vale, in Sadberge, will consist of 46 semi and detached properties, ranging from three to six bedrooms.

It is being developed by North East housebuilder Homes by Carlton in partnership with Karbon Homes’ Next Level Developments, which is providing the full funding package as part of a commitment to help develop much-needed new homes across the region.

Ground was broken on the site in April, with early-bird reservations expected to be made available later this year.

Now the company has released the first computer-generated image which offers a first look at what the Sadberge development will look like upon completion.

“This exciting development will create luxurious homes that will further enhance this wonderful area,” said Simon Walker, Managing Director of Homes by Carlton. “Breaking ground on the site is a major milestone for the project, and around 30 jobs will be created to help bring these stunning homes to our region.

“We will also contribute £50,000 towards developing a children’s play area for local families to enjoy, meaning this development can benefit the wider community.”

Potential homeowners are now able to register their interest in the development, and Simon added: “Homes across County Durham and the Darlington area are in high demand as the area has deservedly earned a reputation for being a fantastic place to live, and we have already had strong interest in Saxon Vale.”
