Following the successful launch of its compliance support service at the end of 2025, Carney Consultancy has helped 15 construction and engineering businesses secure Constructionline Gold accreditation.

The achievement reflects the consultancy’s practical, hands-on guidance and rising demand for expert support as firms navigate tighter building safety and procurement standards.

Carney Consultancy helps clients across the North of England manage compliance, procurement and operational challenges. Through expert health and safety advice, process improvement and strategic guidance, the company supports organisations in meeting regulatory requirements while maintaining operational efficiency and commercial competitiveness.

The initiative comes as organisations across the sector face increasing obligations under the Building Safety Act, with clients and regulators demanding clear evidence of competence, robust systems and compliance with procurement requirements.

The service is led by director, David Wadds and SSIP co-ordinator, Zachary Marshall, who plays a central role in delivering the service, bringing extensive in-house training and hands-on experience.

David Wadds, said: “Since launching our compliance support service at the end of 2025, it’s been incredibly rewarding to see companies put the right systems in place and secure this important recognition. Achieving Constructionline Gold is becoming a key requirement for businesses but many are still unsure how to get there and Carney Consultancy can help make the journey a painless one.”

Carney Consultancy supports organisations through the Constructionline Gold accreditation process, guiding them from initial gap analysis to successful submission. The consultancy’s approach goes beyond application support, focusing on building long-term compliance frameworks aligned with the Building Safety Act and Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP).

Clients benefit from hands-on guidance in developing tailored policies, procedures and documentation, alongside practical SSIP training, risk assessment templates, method statements, training records, supply chain management processes and competence management systems. The team also works directly with contractors to assess competence, implement site-level controls and produce the evidence required by clients and regulators.

Zachary, said: “Our team works directly with contractors to assess competence, produce the evidence that clients and regulators now require, improve organisational capability, prepare robust documentation for tenders and audits, and develop the necessary policies, procedures and forms to demonstrate full compliance.”

The consultancy has also delivered three free seminars focused on the Building Safety Act, attracting more than 100 attendees and helping businesses understand the evolving regulatory landscape.

David, added: “We’ve invested significant time and resources to turn complex legislative requirements into simple, actionable guidance that sets our clients up for success and we are ready to take the stress out of compliance for more businesses.”
