Retro Rendezvous returns to Ulverston town centre for another exciting retro-themed weekend. On Saturday 30 May, visitors can enjoy displays of motorcycles and scooters along Market Street and New Market Street. On Sunday 31 May, Market Street will host the start and finish of the Velo Retro cycling festival, alongside an exhibition of classic cars in New Market Street. Across both days, live bands will perform from 12pm to 6pm in The Sun beer garden, while a range of specialist market traders will also be in attendance. And on Saturday evening, The Sun and several other pubs will host additional live retro music performances. More info here

Organised by Cumberland Council and supported by the Friends of Hammond’s Pond Group, Upperby Gala will provide fun for all the family on Bank Holiday Monday 25 May between 1pm and 4pm. The programme will include performances compared by The Fairly Famous Family including community dance groups; Studio A Dance Company, Razzamataz Theatre Schools, Carlisle Dance Academy, Express Dance Studios and O’Hehir School of Irish dance plus the Bjamba band and with the highlight of the show, the Tom Longton Sheepdog Demos.
